HMSP IV is May 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2011. This top post will be where I'll keep all the pertinent info regarding HMSP IV - remember to check back here for details if we end up with 20 or more pages of posts again.
Hungry Mother Lodge is reserved. Payment has been made for the lodge. Since I'm still living in financial hell, I hope those who know they'll be there for sure can get payment to me as soon as possible. The lodge is $60.00 per person for three nights. The cabins are about $90.00 per person.
I realize a number of people might not be able to commit until the date gets closer. We can start with the lodge, then add cabins as needed.
For those of you coming from out of state, it's a bit cheaper to have me make your reservation if you're getting a cabin. Out of staters are charged a slightly higher rate.
Although we might end up with 20 pages of posts, I'll keep the list updated here as Supercat1 suggested. Feel free to use PM to let me know if you're planning to attend - that'll keep the number of posts in the thread down.

You get a star if you let me know you'll be there. When I see the money, you're marked paid.

Those who are riding in with SO's and want a cabin of their own please let me know. If you are not a resident of the great Commonwealth of Virginia, you will be charged a somewhat higher rate than I get as a resident. Pick a cabin - I'll make the res if your choice is available. You can check availability at http://www.reserveamerica.com/

There are two reasons for getting the cabins booked this early: 1) so you can get the event on your calendar now; 2) so we can get the cabins we want.
This time we'll try the lodge, plus any cabins we need. The lodge should be a good meeting/hanging out space.
The lodge goes for a slightly lower rate per person than the cabins.
Thanks,
Jim

We'll try to add cabins 1, 2, 19, and 20 if needed - they're closest to the lodge. _________________ Jim

Hi, All,
Well, I did it again. If you remember HMI, I had planned to attend and had requested vacation, etc. To make a long story short, I got the dates wrong and had everything set up to be there the week after HMI. I almost did it again. I now have vacation scheduled so I can make it the weekend AFTER HMIV. I hope slots are open so I can leave El Paso on Sunday or Monday before HMIV. If so, I'll be there. If not, I might be able to make it there by Saturday night. I hope to know next week! _________________ Ride Safe,

Hi,
I have talked to Chip (my brother-in-law, for those of you who didn't attend HLII) and he is planning to come to HMIV with me. I DO have the vacation slots I need to attend - on a bike and not in my car! I'll probably be on my K75RTP and Chip will be on his H-D. PLEASE, don't throw rocks! _________________ Ride Safe,

If you're planning to make HMSP IV, please let me know. I'm trying to figure out how many beds we're going to need. If you are bringing anyone who isn't on the list, let me know.
See the top post for lodging details. At this point, nearby cabins are still available.
I know May seems like a long way off, but it really isn't.
Thanks,
Jim |

I want to so bad, but I'm hedging for the moment. My hooligan teenager's graduation from Girl's and Boy's Town in Omaha NE is the weekend after, and I'm just not sure if I can justify the extra time away so close to that event. I brought it up once already with the SO, but we need to have a longer conversation about it. If I attend, I'll have 2 days before I turn around to head west w/the family. That's tight, and there will be a lot that needs doing before we bring her home. _________________ www.tidewaterforge.com |

i still can't make a definite promise, but peter keeps talking about going back out again. he is desperate to take his "new" ('93 i think?) vfr750 out to those roads. i did my best to get him to keep the '93 k11rs he had this year, but he got like $2300 for a bike he paid $1k for. not much to argue there and he never has really been a beemer fan, it was just cheap and available. so, hopefully we will be there with all you hooligans again, but for the full weekend. i'll know better in the coming month or two how that looks. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

It'd be cool if you guys can make it - keep me posted, please. You need some more miles on that bike anyway. _________________ Jim

Ernie - that would work if I was bringing the two wheel trailer. I'm having the single side hitch modified so I'll be able to pull the Uni-Go with it. I don't think Chris would fit in the Uni-Go... at least not with the fixin's.
Hopefully Chris is doing better, and will be in good shape to ride by May. _________________ Jim

sadly, peter and i are not going to be able to make it this year. that weekend is the weekend before finals week and both he and i need that time to study. we put this decision off as long as possible to determine if the extra time would be needed. believe me when i say we are both very bummed about it, peter especially as he really wanted to take his vfr750 out against these bavarian beasts. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |
