Are these standard or is it likely that a previous owner had driving lights?
The plug is the same as the ones for the turn signals. There is a metal button on the left hand knee pad where a switch might have been. _________________ 79 Honda CB750 trainer

Got a picture?
Bmw did have an option for heated mirrors but I would doubt that's what you have there. They usually had a dash pad switch like the heated grips. _________________ Ride safe.

Nope that'll be the connector for the auxiliary poison dart targeting and firing system like on the pimpmobile in Live and Let Die.

Could it be there were turn signals in the mirrors at one time? _________________ '97 K1100LT

Have to disagree on that one Ted though it's the best Roger Moore one,
As someone who read all the books i'm a big Timothy Dalton fan as he represents the Bond of the books I read most accurately, especially License to Kill, thought the Pierce Brosnan ones were good also and strangely though the acting was somewhat wooden I do like OHMSS with George Lazenby.
(don't get me started on Bond stuff, especially not the recent Blonde mistakes, oh, OK, too late, here we go)
However, I get around this problem of favourites by having a favourite of each
So......
Sean Connery - Film - From Russia With Love, Goldfinger a close second
Sean Connery - Vehicle - Wallis Autogyro, YOLT
Lazenby - (reckon you can figure that one out)
Moore - film - Live and let die, (certainly the best moore film, too tongue in cheek afterwards but no-one does the eyebrow like Roger)
Moore - vehicle - Little Jet aeroplane at the start credits of Octopussy
Dalton - Film - License to Kill
Dalton - Vehicle - Aston Martin in Living Daylights
Brosnan - film - Goldeneye
Brosnan - vehicle - BMW bike in tomorrow never dies, great chase scene, or the Vanquish in Die another day is very pretty though
So now I've thoroughly destroyed this poor fella's original post i'll sign off, sorry all, i'll get me coat shall I?

Okay, now that I have the entire fairing off, I can see that what I have here is rather strange:
The extra set of wire are tapped into the parking light. Like many of the other mods on this bike when I bought it, this one is rather half-assed.
It looks like the guy rigged them to work as running lights, but then realized he wouldn't have any turn signals on the front. _________________ 79 Honda CB750 trainer
