[size=18]1996 K1100LT

Guys, finished my K two weeks ago and took a test ride. The Brake Warning Lite started to come on, then flicker and finally stayed on about 1/2 way on my 260 mile test ride.

When I got home, I found the rear brake hose had a leak...OK so I replace all hoses with Speilger except the Front Hose from Master to under tank.

Bled all lines, took another ride today. All brakes work fine, but the Brake Warning lites still lit even though the ABS goes out normally. Wierd issue is that when I hit either front breke or rear brake the lite goes out until I stop braking. Then the damn lite comes on again.

??? What to do?

Help. I'm heading for long trip in 2 weeks Crying or Very sad .

When I rebuilt the rear master cylinder, I had to also bleed the ABS pump at it's nipple. I did not have to do this for the front.

This is weird - I found the problem,

When I replaced the brake lite bulb which msyteriously decided to burn out on my 1st ride, I must have shoved the taillite back in too quick.

Next time I rode the brake lites were flashing whenever I used the turnsignals, the front turnsignals both blinked and so did hte tail lite?

What is going on???

I took out the tailite and found that I had pinched the turnsignal wires - so last nite I soldered and shrink wrapped the wires.

This AM the brake lite went out, turnsignals work fine, tail lite worked find and I am happy with the world!

Glad you got it sorted. I know my reply seemed a non sequitur, but you never know when something you're not thinking about can cause a problem. Happens all the time.
