[Naked Hoof]

I read somewhere about a vent hose from one of those two tube on the right side towards the front of the tank. It doesn't appear to be on the bike.

Should I put a vent hose in myself?

Which tube would I attach it to: the one towards the front or the one towards the rear?

There are two small tubes that come out of the bottom of the tank. One is from the hole on the left of the fill hole under the cap. That is the rain drain - it runs through the tank and out the bottom.

The other is the tank vent - that had a hose - with a check valve that went to the right front corner of the block - just sucked the vented gasses from the tank into the crankcase. If there is no hose going to the engine block, you'll want a little rubber cap (like the ones on the fuel rail) to plug that nipple. I think you have to have the "knee pad" off to do that - or maybe the lower fairing - but I can't remember for sure.

You can install an "air accumulator" - a relatively inexpensive plastic cup that hooks on the right frame rail and sits under the two nipples that stick out the bottom of the tank. There is one nipple on the air accumulator - connect a length of tubing to that, and route it down and to the inside of the right footpeg assembly. That hose can just hang down there. If you overfill your tank on a hot day, then let the bike sit in the sun (as I sometimes do), gas will run out the hose.
