I hope I've posted this in the right section & that it's not already been mentioned but currently at Halfords in the UK they are selling Mobil1 15W/50 for £38.39 for 5 litres.

I went in after seeing it on the website but there was non on the shelves, (in store) so I asked the young lady at the desk who said if it's not on the shelf then they don't have any. I asked her to please check in the stock room as the website says they do have some, she went to the shelves first to looks for 5 minutes at various oils, she then asked "What number is it?" I said 15W/50, she said no the big number on the front, She meant the 1 !! She then informed me that they have Mobil1 in.....& she pointed out all the other grades. I again asked her to check in stock so she went off & came back saying that she had found one tucked away, I then requested another one.(If looks could kill!!) Anyway what I'm saying is that aslong as you can cope with the "clueless" & "reluctant to help" shop assistants then there is a bargain to be had at Halfords, not sure when the offer ends so don't hang about. Plus check online before you head to the store so you can insist they look if it hasn't been put on the shelves.

For you in the USA who don't know how lucky you are, this is a bit over $61 for a 5 litre bottle (about 5.3 qt.) I pay about $23 for a 5 qt. bottle of Mobil 1 15w50 at Wal-Mart. Laverda, if the sale price is GBP38.39 for 5 litres, what is the normal price? And what is the VAT which, I believe, is in addition to this?

At Halfords they normally sell it for £47.99 @5 Litres. (all the prices include the VAT), Though the RRP of 5 Litres of Mobil1 is over £50 !! Shocked

Maybe if our army was as big as yours we could get the oil prices down ! Very Happy
When I was over in the States the majority of my baggage allowance was taken up with oil & additives. Cool

If there is a RANGE shop near you they are doing Unipart fully synth for £17 (5 litres), i think it is 10 40 though but will have a look.
