do topics still show up as "unread" even after I have viewed them? Have to actually click "mark all topics as read" in each forum in order to "clear" the board.
Annoying.

Had that problem last week. Don't know if it's just with Firefox. Sometimes even if I selected mark topics read, they would come back unread.
Shut FF down (poss same with IE #?) without saving tabs. Then reboot, worked for me.

Is you browser clearing it's site cache or cookies when you close it out?
Not saying that's the issue, cause I dont' understand how the system tracks visited threads either. _________________ Ride safe.

Which browser are you using? I noticed Firefox wouldn't always clear read posts. Chrome clears them all the time. So does Sea Monkey. _________________ Jim

I wonder if it is just as a result of reading this post - but my Firefox on Slackware has started to exhibit the same behaviour.
What version of phpbb are we using here? I can have a bit of a scratch around in the source to nut out how it handles read/unread posts. _________________ David, owner of:

i've never had the problem with firefox (except if you use the back button to go back to the forum it won't display as read because it is just reloading from cache) but i do with my palm pre's browser. not really a game killer, but it is kinda strange.
