Some guy from MO emailed me telling me his K1100 was ill and the putzes at the dealer couldn't fix it. (But they were great at charging him money. No suprise.)

Anyhow, I was Googling around and found the customer testimonials at the link below. Looks like he's done work on a K1100-based Grinnell and helped another guy bring a K1100RS back to life.

Just curious if anyone here knows of him or his reputation.

Looking at his training, the amount of time he's been involved with BMW, and the customer reviews, I wouldn't hesitate to go to him. Plus, he works on Ural.

where at in missery? if he is near kc, i would say he should take his bike to a wrench in lawrence, ks that works on all my family's bikes and has been in business for what seems like forever. motorcare is the place. he just recently replaced the fork seals, brakes, and the oil sump's gasket/seal for about $240. not sure if that is about the right price range, but i feel very comfortable with him working on my bike.

He told me he's 15 min south of STL do I think Eureka is quite a bit closer. for him.

This gets me thinking, maybe we need a Tech sticky for listing recommended (and not recommended) shops for classic Ks.
