Alen,
Back up about 6 posts, I installed the system with 142 miles
on the bike. I'm now at 4,005 miles (weather has been lousy here for
the past week.)

Oh crap....another senior moment again....sorry Mick
With the whole system installed, I'm assuming the CAT is no longer onboard? What state do you reside in...Arizona...cause I know here in CA. they have a tendency to go after your short hairs if they catch you. I met a guy about a year ago at the Rock store, on his brand new K13S, that had just gotten nailed for his complete install of a Staintune with no CAT and he was looking at a hefty fine plus removal of the offending exhaust....and evidently if you get caught twice they nail what your short hairs are protecting to the wall.
After looking at the Muzzy site http://www.muzzys.com/concours14/index.html
I think I would probably have to go for the slip on CAT back single can....it looks much better than the OEM.

We had motorcycle emissions testing here for years. They finally abolished it in Tucson because they found it did nothing productive. My bikes (all with CAT removed) never even came close to failing their sniff tests. They never did implement an equipment check.
The single slip-on Muzzy is louder than the dual system. A buddy over in Santa Paula has one on his 2008 C-14. The CATs are in the header (4 of them) and there IS a performance difference with them removed.

Nice Larrry,
Kind of a cross between a cafe K-bike and an Airhead.

Yep..built it from the frame up. Only outsourced some of the painting and chrome and polishing. Check out my website for more info. Why not let me build you the K bike of your dreams?

Larry, if you go to the Modification section you'll see my old K11RS....
http://k11og.org/modifications/k12wheelconversion.shtml
Now, I may be interested in having some stuff done to my SST....so the question is do you play with Triumphs? _________________ REDBRICK, '96RS (formerly owned), K11OG#5

John,
I DID buy this lift just after I had the .69 O-ring failure on my K11LT.
It made it to 115K or so before it leaked bad enough to tear into it. After
that job, I decided I was too old to crawl around on the garage floor.

Got my lift to actually try to find a leak. Nope, wasted money! Although, I'm not on my knees anymore either.
John, why don't you buy Larry's bike. Bet you won't find a drip anywhere. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Great bike for good weather- but considering where I live, I wouldn't last too long on a naked MC at 30 degrees F.
HOWEVER-
This won't leak either and I can see lots of miles in all kinds of weather.

My current desktop on the PC, too bad the '10 doesn't come in this gorgeous red...
This is on my, "if I win the lottery....." wish list.

Steve,
I agree about the red Concours- best color. But then I might be prejudiced....

OK,
I did visit the Kawasaki dealer today. The owner and I talked for a while about the 2010 Concours. He did his best to be the authority about the 2010 models and I just kind-of nodded and smiled. (he should know how much I have been looking at forums)

You and Cathy will never look back, my friend.
I keep thinking I would be happier on an FJR. If only they weren't so friggin expensive. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Mick, just thought I'd let you know I backed out on buying the Connie as well as the FJR. Both were simply to heavy for my riding style these days (I've gotten very comfortable with a bike thats about a 100lbs lighter then my last K11). I was able to get in some good test time on both and they were both very good bikes and I have to admit of the two, I preferred the FJR...but I have to also admit.....when it came time to pull the trigger, the Connie really flipped my switch.
I'm going to stay with the Sprint ST for now and am going ahead with plans for upgrading suspension and replacing all the rusted fasteners to stainless steel (had to do that with my old K11 too....cause I live at the beach). Triumph has a pretty good product now, not like back in the 60's (my old TR lost more oil on the road then it burned). I've run into a number of guys with high miles on their ST's, who've not had any problems with the drive train at all and are very pleased with their bikes.
Would still like to hook up with you and any of the other old timers, when ever you make it out this way again....
P.S.
Forgot to mention there was one other bike that almost got me off the Sprint. The Yamaha FZ1.......OMG.....what an absolute hoot....only thing was, I'd probably kill myself on that thing.....jezzz, what a bike, light, flickable and very comfortable and light.....and when you pulled the trigger on that baby you'd better be hanging on.... _________________ REDBRICK, '96RS (formerly owned), K11OG#5
