I attended the Chicago Toys for Tots parade on Sunday. There were over 7,000 bikes in attendance. Morning temps were in the 20's, reaching a balmy 34 by afternoon. That's me on the right and my K11 in the foreground.
These are some of my friends who braved the cold. I'm standing third from the right. The young lady on the left is a firewoman. That's not an Aerostitch suit.
Sorry, but I don't have the obligatory food pic. It was supposed to snow later in the day, so we all went home immediately after the run.
When I arrived home, I removed what seemed to be a dozen layers of clothes and long underwear. Then I sat down in my favorite chair, covered myself with a comforter and drank a couple Irish coffees while watching the Bears-Rams game.
It took me a while to warm up, but I didn't mind. Knowing I will help bring joy to an less fortunate kid made it all worthwhile. _________________ 2000 R1100RT

Hi, Ernie,
You provide the stuff, I'll make the Irish coffee. I can't drink it (diabetic), but I can make it. I lived and worked in Ireland for a year and a half! _________________ Ride Safe,

that's pretty sweet. i'm looking forward to doing the bikers for babies ride here in kc next year. i had the bike for this year, but was talked (actually guilted) out of participating. it too is nearly 7k riders and lots of fun.
i'm sure there is a need for more bmw representation, especially of the airborne masonry unit type. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |
