Hi Guys,

I tried to raise Allen Nelson of this parish to obtain more info. on the machining required for this swap - but no response to date. Hey Allen hope you're OK buddy. Confused

OK - anyone else want to chime in? Laughing

I've just bought a rear R1100S [ 5.5" ] wheel for my Race Rep project as the 4.5" 3 spoker looked "wrong".

SO - I need info on fitting the matching front - please. Wink

Also, I've just decided to make a 1960 'ish style Cafe Racer from one of my spare K100's. Clip ons, rear sets, polished tank, AJS 7R race seat, chrome headlamp and brackets, 2 x chrome instrument pods [ R/C and speedo ] ......etc.,etc.

However, it will NEVER look right with cast wheels - so, anyone fitted Mystic or similar wire spoked wheels to a Kay? Cool

Mason - that's the guy that normally sorts out my problems, how about it bud?

What are you using for rear sets. I had a set of K1 foot peg plates on my K100 and they bring the pegs back and up. I also have a set of Baumeister rear sets. I have not tried them out yet to see how they feel. I am curious to see what you are using on the K100.

Hi Ron,

I've got RAASK rearsets on my Race Rep at the moment [ £135 complete with new footrest brackets/plates ] and Tarrozzi for the Cafe Racer - £145 - NO footrest brackets.

The Tarrozi, being Italian - look really trick. The RAASK [ being Northern European ] look -- well sort of Germanic! I'm also using Tarrozzi Clip-Ons.

Both makes are adjustable, I've trimmed the passenger section off the RASSKs as I don't intend to carry passengers [ just slow you down, don't they? ]

Now I've fitted them up [ mocked up ], the Tarrozzi gets my vote. The RAASK are a bit "agricultural" - but excellent value for money. They fit straight on with no mods and even include a new gear linkage complete with mount. You have to make up your own gearbox outut boss for the Tarrozi's - I cut down the original gearlever.

Sorry I can't post pix here, but if you pm me with your e-mail address I'll send you some pix. BTW - what's your project?
TJ
