It's time to start thinking about HMSP III.
Anyone interested in extending the weekend by a day? If so, let us know. We can do May 20 - 23 or May 21 - 24. Or, we can stick with the 21 - 23. Since some ride from a distance, it kind of makes sense to have another day there.
We have the option of renting cabins with full kitchens - the trade-off for the full kitchen is one less head. I have to say Audi & Co. did an outstanding job last year with the grill, but it might be nice to have a stove.
Seems like there is more interest in HMSP III - I'm sure we can rent adjacent cabins like we did the first year. I'll be checking on reservations soon - but they can easily be modified as we get closer to the actual date.
Dominic - you better start planning now to show up! _________________ Jim

I'd be in for another day.
Even an extra day up in NH would have been nice, but I know people have schedules. Not all of us are "retarded",,uh I mean 'retired'. _________________ Ride safe.

I figure if we get the place for three days, people can show up for 2 or 3 days, which ever fits their schedule best.
We might have to get a 3 day cabin and a 2 day cabin. _________________ Jim

Jim,
Count me in too. Staying for an additional day would be great.
Given enough planning (a couple of months is good), I can schedule anything- all it takes is a few pencil lines through those days in my appointment book.
Looking forward to it

Tough time of year for a school teacher to get off of work. Couple weeks later would be perfect. Ah well, I will see if I can save my personnel day. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

I'm in for that weekend, the extra day would be good.
I vote for a cabin with kitchen, multiple cabins if neccesary. _________________ Steve

Hi, Jim,
I'm in for as many days as necessary. The price of copper is up, so there is a chance the mine might call me back. I'll make that decision when (if) the time comes. But for the moment, count me in. I vote for a stove. And if we get a stove, should I plan on cooking spaghetti? Let me know how much to write a check for, to whom, and where to send it. _________________ Ride Safe,

John - the reason we do HMSP before Memorial Day is that after Memorial Day the cabins rent by the week only. I, for one, can't afford to do that. I'm not sure how any of us would feel about each other after a week, either... _________________ Jim

Hey Phil - no money needs to change hands until the res is made. I'll check with the Park people any day now to see what's available. It'll be awhile before we need a confirmed head count.
If most of the people who've shown up in past years show up this year, I think we're in for at least two cabins. I'm fairly certain we'll get cabins with stoves - I'm also fairly certain people want your spaghetti... _________________ Jim

Gotcha, didn't know that. I will see what things are like at this school at the end of the year. If I can take a day, I am there. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Any rider on any bike is welcome, even OTG!
Phil came on his K75 last year.
We even let Sean come last year on his poser brick, we don't discriminate. _________________ Steve

Ernie - I don't think we'd send someone packing even if they showed up on a Honda or a Harley. There's certainly nothing wrong with a K75. _________________ Jim

Ernie,
The last K11OG gathering (which you just missed a few weeks ago ) consisted of my RS, Scott's LT, Jim (Saltcreek)'s LT, Phil's K75 cop bike and Dave (OTG)'s FAST Yamaha.
K1100 owners, K75 owners, former K1100/75 owners, twisted brick (wedge BMW) owners, friends of K owners, etc.
C' mon and ride/eat with the bunch.
BTW, if things work out, you and I can ride to HM together. We still have lots of time to convince Saltcreek to come along- and maybe hook up with OTG down in the NYC/NJ area. _________________ John & Cathy

Hi, Ernie,
Look at my sig line and you'll know what I ride. I rode the K75RT to HMII in Virginia, the K75RTP to the BMWMOA national rally, the K75A/3 to Hungry Dungee and the K75RTP to Hungry Lobsta. No one threw rocks at me (although Steve tried to throw pieces of driveshaft at all of us at HMII). We had a great time at HMII (all BMW's), Hungry Dungee (Milton rode his Triumph) and Hungry Lobsta (OTG rode his Yamaha).
BTW, I did, at one time, ride K1100LT's. I bought a '96 in May of '97 and rode it about 110k miles before selling it. I then rode my '95 K1100LT (purchased in '05 with fewer than 5k miles) about 23k miles until June 30, 2007, when I hit a deer at 65mph. After I recovered and could ride again, I rode my late wife's '94 K75A/3, then bought back the '95 K75RT from brother-in-law, then bought the '95 K75RTP. So now the hardest decision is which K75 to ride! _________________ Ride Safe,

OK, so far we have:
Scott (Scott_Anderson)
Ernie NH
John (Sugarhill)
John Clauss (maybe)
Steve (skdonlan)
Phil (Phil Marvin)
Rich (RAL)
Jim (Jim)
Bob Z
Mike (WVMSFKRS )
Sean (Rydor)
Dominic (Das Boot)
Ted (Ted)
Audi
Gwen
Dave OTG (?) you gotta want it badly enough, Dave...
Ernie's friend 1?
Ernie's friend 2?
Supercat1?
Supercat1's Brother?

Haven't heard a thing from Audi for a long time - I'll probably call him, too. I hope Gwen has things sorted out by then so she can make it. I'll contact Ted to see if he can get it on his schedule - hope he has a bike by then.
Looks like we're probably in for two cabins - cool. _________________ Jim
