Jeez I thought you were going to say you had side play. That much rotational play sounds normal.

After further inspection there is side play. Sad
looks like a FD rebuild time, unless it can be ajusted while on the bike.
any thoughts? It has about 2mm of play, enough play tha the outter edge
of the disk rotor touches the brake caliper I thought my rotor was warped
and it is worn enough it needs replacing thats why I took my tire off
and notice the side play/wigle of the rotor Confused

Is the play in the wheel (front of the wheel/tire would be able to move closer then farther away from the swingarm) or are you getting the movement out of the swingarm pivots?

With the wheel off, neeling on the left side of bike and one hand on each
side of the rotor it moves about 2mm maybe 3mm. lying on the ground with one hand on the bottom of the rotor it moves about 2mm or 3mm.
even with the play it does not leak oil.

it's the same play you would get from a car if the ajustment nut was to loose.
If it were a car I would repack the bearings ajust taught and back it off a 1/4 turn. ten min job.
