Hi,
had an 'off' the other week (first in nearly 20 years). Most of the damage was superficial (belly pan needs a spray) however after running the bike for a few miles oil appeared in the belly pan.
On closer inspection the oil appears to be coming from the alternator or possibily the starter motor. The oil is definitely engine and not gearbox oil.
As far as I'm aware there is nothing behind the alternator/starter so the cause of the leak is a bit of a mystery.
Before I start removing everything I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or any ideas as to the cause- all would be very much appreciated
Cheers, Mick |

Year and model, please.
Pull the side panels off and follow the leak to the source as far as you can. Which side of the bike is the oil coming from?
Sorry about your biff. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
