Great to be back home.. rode the RS over 10,000 miles in 5 weeks...However the radiator fan died somwhere in Tennessee on friday the 7th of August... then a terrible collision between semi trucks drop the speed to zero...
So the bike heated up and puked some of the coolant.. figured right then to head off the freeway down the shoulder and not stick around in the heat.
Added water to the bike's resevoir and kept riding for South Carolina.
I did buy a used fan from Fred Rowland in Morganton. Fresh coolant from Touring Riders in greenville and rode back home on Friday.
I have some problems with #2 cylinder and thanks for the heads up on the manifold leak.. going to check that out when done here...
Anyways as I was tinkering with the RS and trying to balance the replaced injector... the radiator hose on the right side let loose.. steamy sticky greenish blue coolant wafting in the air...
So I read somewhere that I should use locktite on the hose clamps? HMMMM...
As I said before... glad to be at home... the LORD kept that bike together... hehe
