|
|
Have just had a quick look at getting the radio working. When i turn it on is coming up with the text .....E Seh , no matter what i press nothing happens, no sound and nothing on the screen other than that text. Would i be right in thinking that this is the enter code screen? If so I dont have a code!.....can i get one?

did you look in your owners packet? If it is not there look on the side of the radio itself. I have my code writen on the sie of mine. If you dont have it I belive you are out of luck. BMW will not give out codes and I dont know anyone who has been able to crack the codes.

If you take the radio apart and look at some of the soldering connections on the circuit board then there's a firm in the UK that can figure out your code and email it to you. I used them once and it worked. I think it cost me five pounds or thereabouts.
Can't remember their name or website but some persistent Googling should turn them up. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

You can try this company. They do it for BMW cars so they might do it for bikes.

Rusty at Max BMW was able to get my code from my VIN# or the radio serial number by contacting "BMW Technical". _________________ Jim

Thanks all...panic over!
The 4 digit code was written on a scraggy piece of paper in the service book wallet, it was just the number with no explanation of what it was for so gave it a try, cleared the screen on the radio (by holding the band/st button) and input the code....and bingo radio works perfectly!..
On to the next job now. _________________ Rich

Write the code on the side of the radio in indelible marker. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

| Get the number off the radio and call your local BMW dealer. In a minute they will give you the code. |
