I have been offered a K100 trailer hitch close to home here. Does anyone know if the K100 hitch will work on my K1100LT?

NO it will not fit. You can put a K1100 hitch on a K100 but you cant put a K100 on a K1100. the K100 hitch mounts to the side foot peg mounting plate. The K1100 mounts to the center stand mount under the bike. The K1100 side plates are rubber mounted which is why they went to the under the bike mount. I have both hitches, one on my K100 and one on my K1100. I did try to mount the K100 to the K11 before I found a K11 hitch. If the price is good I would still buy the k100 hitch. They are getting hard to find. Be sure it has 3 support bars and all the spacers. I had an extra set of spacers made but it would be hard to make the support bars. I see alot of K100 hitches being sold with out all the parts which is why I had extra spacers made. I also have the mounting instructions for the K100. I had the instructions for the K11 also but I cant find them at the moment but I am sure they are here somwhere.
