Dave, by default and some other factors these are THE DATES.
I just have my front desk put a big X through the day and I have the day off as long as it is several weeks ahead.
Cathy has already put it in her calendar- being boss of the rehab dept has its advantages.
We will need to try and coordinate when people are getting to NH and to the Saltcreek homestead- if that can be arranged.
Cathy is doing the food round-up on Friday but will be on the ride Saturday (and Sunday?) _________________ John & Cathy

I'm going to be heading up on Fri, so any ride will have to take place on Sat.
Pretty sure that I am not going to be up to several hundred local miles and a 600+ mile ride home.
But hey, you never know. ;] _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Dave,
From my house to Nassau County is about 320 miles.
Saltcreek has mentioned having everyone meet at his place- I will leave it to you folks that are coming from a distance as to what you want to do once you look at a map. Jim will post his location and you can all mapquest each of your trips and let us know.
I was thinking of doing the only longer group ride on Saturday. Weather and butts permitting I have a ride scoped out:
about 150 miles in the morning (Kinsmen Notch, Kanc' Highway, Evans Notch, Pinkham Notch) then a stop for lunch
then variable mileage in the afternoon (Bear Notch back to the Kanc and we can decide on Franconia Notch and/or a couple of my favorite twisty roads)
For Sunday, if everyone is heading out I thought we might group ride south for a hundred miles or so then split and each go in his own direction.
As the weekend gets closer people can let us know their plans.

Click on my web link for my address and phone number. Or email or pm or call me for any additional info. If it's easier for you to go straight to Sugar Hill, that's fine but if you want to ride up with me we'll go through Weir's beach, of Laconia Bike Week fame. _________________ Jim

I'm in
BTW, 'yer grip heaters working?? Be sure to bring your insulated gear. We have already had some below 40F mornings.
I am thinking that the big Saturday ride may have to be from 10am or so until mid-afternoon to get some "solar gain".
Those coming need to PM Jim or me about when and where you are going to arrive. Then we can provide you directions to either location.
I already did this for Phil.
Stay in touch!!! _________________ John & Cathy

Hi, John,
It sounds as if I need to bring some El Paso heat with me. Instead, I'll have my electric gear. The morning I left Drake's, the jacket liner felt good for a few hours, until I was well away from the Olympic Peninsula. _________________ Ride Safe,

Hey, Scott,
It will be great to see you again! Sorry I can't ride east with you, but I'm leaving on 9/19 and going the southern route to visit daughter in Dallas and friends in TN before heading north to NH. _________________ Ride Safe,

I was thinking the same thing Phil, I figured that you would be more south and east than I.
I'll be close to BobZ(IL) and going thru Das Boot's place on the way.
I'm going to be pushed for time this trip so I'm planning on the superslab both ways, even a toll road across Indiana to save time and miles.
Salt Creek if you can wait for the handlebar switch I can bring it out with me, or pm me otherwise if your interested.
I am soooo looking forward to this. I'm not all that hip on seafood but I've allways wanted to visit the north east.
I don't think I'll have any troubles getting the time off, but you never know. _________________ Ride safe.

Scott, that's great, welcome aboard!
Phil bring what you want but jalapenos are available here. This is New Hampshire, not Greenland! _________________ Jim

It would be helpful if those coming from outside NH let us know when you plan on getting here and if you plan on going to the Saltcreek homestead first or coming directly to Sugar Hill.
Phil plans on arriving here on Thursday, Oct 1

Well if all goes well I'm planning to be in your neck of the woods late Thursday afternoon/early evening.
Depends on how long it takes me to get out of Cleveland.
Then a nice leasurly ride on Friday for the final leg.
How's that sound. _________________ Ride safe.

Scott why don't you swing by my place on Thurs night and we'll ride up together on Fri. I'm about 30-45mins off the beaten path.
Just a thought.
I can pick up some Porterhouses. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
