A friend has a 1990 K75 RT, he wonders can he put new progressive springs in the froks from the top or does he have to take the fork off and apart?

I can't remember if you can drop those in from the top or not but my advice is that if you're going to replace the springs it's a good idea to pull the forks, take them apart and clean them out while you're at it. It's also a good opportunity to add fork boots too.

Not sure if this would be the same for the K75, but may be worth a look:

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

Yeah, and put in new seals while you have 'em apart.

I highly suggest removing them from the bike.
