Can someone post a photo of the proper routing of the wire from the front ABS sensor on a K1100? I just got mine back from Gengras in E. Hartford, CT (do not take your bike there) and I think something isn't right.
Thanks -

There's a small hole for a small zip tie down by the sensor. Then a larger zip tie holding it near the top of the fork lower. From there it is zip-tied to the brake line back to the bike and into the dark world of wires below the tank...

Right now the wire is routed over the outside of the caliper - it crosses the B in Brembo. I suspect it should be routed between the caliper and the fork tube. Of course I can't remember, and don't have a detail photo of this area.

There's another zip tie holding it to the body of the fork lower and the wire goes in front of, not over, the caliper. Sounds like an incredibly sloppy shop you took your bike to.

Before I did my fork seals this spring I took several pictures of the front end- to avoid just your situation (it sounds like I did a better job than those "pros")

The posts above should do it, but if it would help I will post a couple of pictures in an hour or so- let me know.

Thanks - the answers above confirm what I thought and I'm sure I can figure the routing out without photos.
This shop, Gengras, took over from Canton Cycle. I can't give them a good review.

It's kind of scary when you take your bike to a bad shop given that your life and limb depend upon them doing decent work. I'd give everything they touched a good once over and make sure all your bolts are tightened.

It's scary when your bike has been around longer than the service manager has had a drivers license!!!
