I want to use an handle bar mount on my BMW K100LT J Reg 1991
but I am not sure the diameter size of the handlebars

There are several sizes of Handlebar Mounts avalable e.g.

1 - 7/8" bar mount

2 - 1" bar mount

3 - 1- 1/4" bar mount

4 - 1- 1/2" bar mount

I Want to make sure I get the correct size therefore can anyone confirm the number above that would give the correct fit

Any information useful

Thanks

Eddie Sheppard

Almost but not quite.

I tried a set of Renthals [ 7/8" ] on my K100 Streetfighter and started putting the left hand clutch assembley back on and managed to break the mounting ! Part two was preceeded by careful filing down of the inside bore of the clutch mounting before assembly.

Works fine the other way if you want to fit 7/8" risers.

The real pain is when you want to fit Clip-Ons! They come in 41mm and 42mm - and what size do BMW use for their fork tubes? 41.4mm !!!!!!!!
