Wednesday I rode home- bike working great- No problems.
Had an hour or so- changed the trans & FD to synthetic. NOTHING ELSE!!!!
Cathy & I got on it for an evening ride.
#$!&%@!!# ABS lights are blinking!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll try a reset but like last year I expect that it'll "auto-reset" after a few weeks. Until then I'm using the black tape mod.

I got my bike good and warm last week, changed out the oil with Golden Sepctro full syn 90-145 GL5 rated.
No problems at all with nuttin. Leaks or ABS.
Did you bump the ABS ring sensor by accident? _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

Not that I can recall- both filler caps and both drain plugs came out easily.
No problem on the refill.
Torqued all back to spec.
But I'll check the gap at the rear ring. Thanks. _________________ John & Cathy

Did an ABS reset with connecting #2 to ground. Had to do it twice.
FIXED.
Then had a great 3 hour ride over the Kanc' and Bear Notch in light to medium rain. _________________ John & Cathy

Pity you didn't read the pulses, would have told you what the intermittant fault was. My guess is the rear ABS sensor or it's cable up to & including the connector. Unless you have ABS1 & used the radio whilst you did the job, then it's probably just a discharged battery. ABS1 (unlike ABS2) doesn't auto reset for low voltage. _________________ Regards Tim,

Tim,
Thanks for the input. This is the first time in a year that it did this. If it happens again soon I will check it out.

Sorry, forgot that RS's don't have one, flattened batteries numerous times, listening whilst spannering. _________________ Regards Tim,
