Hallo,
I registered a few days ago and thought it was a good idea to introduce myself.
I've been following this forum some time after buying my K1100RS (94)second hand in 2002.
I'm 46 and live in Belgium, Europe.
I read the technical pages with great interest and altough I don't do the maintanance myself I find the technical information very usefull.
I also enjoy the pictures of rides in the states. It looks like a great country for long drives in the open.
In our crowded Europe open space is rare.
Since I bought the K it took me to Ireland, Venice Italy, the Alps and all over France. I enjoy travelling with it but in summer it can get very hot as you all know.
Once I figure out how I'll post some pictures of rides over here.
Greetings
Jo |

Jo,
Welcome. You will find a nice bunch of nuts and crazies plus some great information on this forum.
However you might end up being known as Jo 2 here.
Hopefully a certain Johnny O. will say hello also.
Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome Jo, we would enjoy pictures of Belgium also. I, for one, rarely make it over there. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Here in belgium Guylian chocolate is regarded as the industrial export stuff.
If you like that brand you will love the real stuff.
The beer Westvleteren was crowned "best beer in the world"some years ago. It's made by trappist monks and is unavailable in the shops. The only way to get some is drive to the abbey after phoning and then maybe you're lucky... I only had it once.
I hear they export the stuff so now you know what to look out for.
There is a lot of Belgian beer going around in the US i'm sure so if you need advice ...i'll be glad to help.
Thanks for the kind welcome.

Welcome Jo, we are neighbors, live just up the road by Utrecht the Netherlands. Run down to Germany alot and when I was still on active duty with the Air Force made it to an air base outside of Leuven (sp?) a few times.Want to make it down in to Luxemburg for a long week-end when time permits.
Which part of Beligum do you park your bike? And maybe we can meet up spmetime _________________ 1995 K1100RS
