... don't know when I'll be back again.
I found another motobrick to buy. Couldn't help myself. Gonna hop on a plane tomorrow morning to go pick it up and ride it home.
Pics and a ride report upon my return... _________________ 93 LT (x2)

You'll get details and pics when I actually own it. Do you think it's possible there's a worse K bike than my last purchase? _________________ 93 LT (x2)

By the way, this is all Saltcreek's fault for posting about that Craig's List reader. I was looking for a headlight or C fairing for my to-be-built K75 and thought that might be useful so I decided to give it a whirl. Of course I can't help looking at all of the K75s and K100s for sale around the coutnry. I clicked on one ad and five minutes later I was hanging up the phone after closing the deal.
I have to delete that search engine now. It's not safe in my hands. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

We don't know but we do know that if there is one out there in worse condition- you will find it- maybe you have.
Have a good ride....... _________________ John & Cathy

OK, gang. Here it is. It's a very well-taken care of 1987 K75C with a Pilcher fairing. It's got Progressive suspension front and rear and PIAA lights on the forks. I just got home and it now has 79,300 miles on it.
I picked it up 100 miles outside of Boise, Idaho and took a detour on the way home via The Tetons, Yellowstone, Beartooth Pass and Lolo Pass. Here it is on the way up to Beartooth Pass:
Yeah, it's just a 1987 K75 but I am absolutely thrilled that I bought it and after riding it home 1,500 miles am totally in LOVE with it.
More details later. I just got home at 10:15 and it's way past beer-thirty. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

That is a nice looking paint job. And he installed roundels. Always nice to buy something from someone who obviously loved it. OTG, note the SFD. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

The good:
It runs like a top.
Fairing works great. It protects pretty well in frog-strangling rain (including your feet) and is wonderful to ride without a helmet when the sun is out.
The headlight and aux lighting work quite well.
The valve and crank covers are polished too.
Has brand new ME 880s.
The previous owner also still has the C fairing, radiator shroud and belly pan which he's shipping to me. This means I have an almost complete setup for my project bike.
The bad:
Rear drum brake. I'll replace that with a black disc brake FD/swing arm/transmission this winter after I wear out the tires.
Desparately needs heated grips and cruise control. I'll take care of that this week.
The ulgy:
Sticky downshifting. I suspect that the tranny input splines are dry. I'll take care of that this week too. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I'm keeping it as one of my bikes to ride. But I did pull it apart to check the clutch plate thickness (great! ) and lube the clutch splines.
