What is the stock shock length eye to eye? Received my RAM shock today and it is shorter than the WORKS shock that is presently installed. Just want to make sure someone didn't put something wrong on previously
Thanks

On the stock shock that Scott A sent me during our shock swap, it measures 15 1/4" center of eye to center of eye with the preload in the middle position. _________________ Steve

My works shock is 14.5" center to center. Works makes two shocks for the K1100 one is stock length and one is a shorter shock that lowers the bike. _________________ Rich

Ok thanks. My old Works shock is just over 15" center to center. The RAM shock is 14". Sent Adrian at realmengineering an email asking about this. _________________ 93 RS |

Andy,
AC has just e-mailed me.
In new money the shock is 380mm eye to eye - the shock in your box is 350mm - for the K100 and K75 or lowered K11 - NOT as you ordered for stock length K11.
How do we know this? because AC has just opened what should be a 350 shocker box to find it has a 380mm in it!!!!! Doooohh.
No panic, the correct length shock will be on it's way to you shortly, obviously at no cost to yourself. Apologies for the error and subsequent delay. There will be NO customs default your end.
The guy who packed it is currently in the village stocks waiting to have rotten fruit thrown at him - who says England is still in the dark ages!!!
What that WILL mean is that there is now a shock resident in the USA for a K75 /100 / lowered K11. The correct spring will be sent to match that up, so there will be a CHEAP brand new RAM shocker for someone!
Andy, I'll pm you about this later today - but I wanted to ensure that fellow club members realise that Realm DO look after their customers.
Needless to say, their will be proper identification in future so this doesn't happen again.
Our sincere apologies

TJ,
Thank you for the reply. I have no doubt that Realm do look after their customers due to the excellent way that I have been treated so far.
Everyone,
The customer service in this transaction has been FANTASTIC, and I would have absolutely NO problem doing business with this company in the future. The shipping is very quick. Original shock shipped on Thursday. In my grubby paws on Tuesday. This looks to be an extremely well made product that I look forward to thrashing on the road for years to come.
Thanks again,

Hi Andy thanx for the kind words - the $50 is on the way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx to our inneficiency and Andy's help - someone will get the opportunity to buy a RAM CM350 shock at a bargain price.
Andy has agreed to put the kit together with the correct spring [ Black ] that will be sent with his CORRECT shock this week.
The shock will then be on offer for £200 + US internal postage. That way you will save at least £40 on the carriage - and no additional US charges.
The kit is complete and will suit the following - K75 /100 stock length. It could also be used to lower the K11 - although it would make a difference of just over an inch and not the dead 1".
The packaging has now been altered so that this mistake cannot happen again
