Hi all
As in the title, will the wheels of a R1100RT (1996) fit my 99 K1100LT, been looking for wider rims for it to put some radials on and these have come up, they look the same as my old RS wheels.
Thanks for any info.
Rob

The rear is the same as the K11RS rear. Yes, that will fit. I have one one my LT right now.

Not sure about the front.

Rob, the numbers on my '93 RS front wheel are:
36.31-2 310 252 MTH 3.50 x 17E

I have no idea what the difference in those numbers means, hope it helps.

Yes they will fit, but to do so, the exhaust has to come off EVERY tyre or puncture change. Imagine that PITA at the side of the road.

Thanks all
Had an RS before and prefered the feel of the radials to bias ply's, can put up with the hassle of getting the rear wheel off, would just call the RAC if i get a flat.
My Lt isnt that bad at corners, had the panniers on the deck yesterday 2 up along country lanes but she has never felt as planted at the RS did on Radials (BT21's) there seems to be too much flex in the rear that makes her wallow in corners, running BT45's at the moment and only got 3500 miles so far out of the front with about 1.5 mm left to the wear indicators.

Excellent point. I have Staintune to I can just pull the rear can with two bolts. It's quite a hassle undoing the entire stock exhaust with the cat and headers and all.

Just bought a front wheel, missed out on the rear but there are a few more available.
Really wanted BT021's for it Mystic Red, had them on my RS and the grip they gave was very inspiring to say the least, with the right rims they will go on.

Well the rear is on, front should arrive tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Got a bargain on the rear, New wheel with a new BT020 for £87 !!! the guy had bought it for a spare and never used it, spent all its time in his garage.
Soon as the front is on will see how it feels, sat on it with the rear on an felt a little lower even on the 18" as opposed to the old 17"

I did the math before swapping in the 18" rear(didn't want to confuse the ABS) - the difference is about 1% in circumference. I suppose it oucld be more when switching between brands though..
