Anybody tried K75C bars with barbacks on a K11RS? Too much reach down for this 60 year old back.

bar backs dont give you much... c bars give you more...

i suppose c bars would be sufficient... i have tried both... but not together... with both you would loose too much motocontrol in my supernatural opinion...

so will the C bars work and still clear the fairing? I'm old and at 6'4" the down is a bit too much, I like reach (forward) though.

Has anyone ever just put K1100LT bars on the K1100RS? Will they clear the faring? I have a set of bars off a K100LT or RT which pull back farther thethe RS bars. I think I even have a Cover for the bars.

You'll be sitting striaght UPRIGHT with LT bars and will have NO abiltiy to lean forward at all. Might as well just get an LT.

C bars can be done without replacing the brake line(or cables) - just loosen it at the master and change the angle a bit. The K1100RS dash pad can be scrunched in so you won't have the ignition switch issues you'd have with bar backs.

I might be old but not LT old. I've always ridden Airhead and Oilhead Euro position bikes but think I need another K-buzzer. Had a 1985KRS a long time ago, 1986, still in love with the triple digits out here in the great wide open but comfort does have it's place on those 1,000 mile days.

i've had k75c bars AND barbacks installed for the last 6 years or so. dashpad will need to be "trimmed" quite a bit and you'll need a new brake line (mine was custom made) and a new clutch cable. it works well for me. i've ridden thru most states and haven't had a problem yet.

Tyr the C bars solo first. All you have to buy is the bars. If that doesn't do it for you then you can always spend more money later.

I've tried both C bars and barbacks (by themselves, not combined). Neither lasted more than a day. I"m 6-2 with 34/35" arms and neither setup allowed to get my body in over the bike when riding agressively in the turns.

For long days, I modifed my body position which allows me to do 12+ hour days back to back. (I'm just a 49 year old toddler though. Laughing _)
