Since I have the swing arm and rear drive off, I was wondering what to use to give them a fresh coat of paint. My rear drive is a little scratched up. Does anyone have something that they have had good luck with....or just go with a rustoleum?

Thanks for any advice.

Joe

If it's black, I cleaned mine up and used Hammerite Black 'Satin' with good results, 3 or 4 coats at 15 minute intervals.

If is were me, I would powder coat them, but that would mean you would have to remove all the guts out of the final drive.

Something I might be facing with Blue Streak (headbanging on wall)

Would LOVE to go that route.....but too much work and $ for now. I think I am going to powder coat the wheels though...before new tires go on.

Yeah, still not the same as a true black FD.
But I guess it's still better than that hideous silver.

The Hammerite gives it a nice matt finish - done correctly it looks like new.
