While rebuilding my rotors, I noticed that the rotor and the carrier had grooves for the sprung bobbins. I do not know if these grooves are machined or are they just worn? I remember reading a post that said to move the sprung bobbins when you rebuilt. If these grooves on the rotor are there for a reason, I do not want to move them. Thanks for any advice.

Joe,
Those are wear marks. Rotate the bobbins one hole either direction when you replace them.
