Now I know the heated grips thing has been discussed ad nauseum but I just thought I'd offer this..
My clutch grip stopped working a few weeks back so I bought some Symantec replacements . Took the bike for a new rear tyre today, mentioned the grip to Garry (K wizard who looks after my bike). Tank off, wiring check, continuity check, evidence of broken element. Bar end off, poked a long screwdriver under the rubber to loosen it, slipped it off. Found (very obvious) break, tickled the wire ends out and connected a piece of similar (fuse wire?) to each exposed end. Bound with electrician's tape. Sprayed with WD40 to help ease grip back on, replaced bar end. All working and toastie. May not last for ever but in this cold weather at least my hands are warm! I may do the replacement in the summer sometime.
Just thought I'd pass this on. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________
