....is a leather do-rag that I up in Sturgis. It's the perfect accessory for an otherwise ATGATT'd BMW rider. Very Happy Unfortunately I live in a state with a helmet law.

I just finished my breakfast of scrambled egss, ham and cheese and as soon as I hit the Submit button I'm going to throw on my riding gear, top off the tires on the LT and head to Lolo Pass. Looks like it's going to be a beaitiful day. Montana, here I come....

Film at 11:00. (If I'm back by then.)

I thought about Rattlesnake Grade but that would make it more than a day ride. Just to go do Lolo was 1,060 miles and 17+ hours. I just got in at a little after 2am.

Thought there would be some traffic being right before Memorial Day on Firiday afternoon but Lolo was pretty much wide open. The LT is just frickin' purring with the NGK iridiums and a fresh TB synch. I swear it's the best it's ever run. Between those, the Ohlins and the PR2s the bike feels completely 100% dialed in. I cut loose and railed it. I swore I wouldn't because the last thing I need is a graduate level performance award(jail time) or worse yet a big time biff(without a helmet no less) but the bike is running so well that I simply couldn't help myself. It was just frickin' awesome. Even worth all of the slab I had to endure to get there and back in a day.

Best day ever on that road. I didn't even bother to stop or slow down to take pictures because I couldn't stop the fun.

Wow, just wow. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Edit: And I still can't believe that a big pig of a bike like an LT can even do what it does. Go figger.

That is a long day in the saddle. How's your butt feel?

There certainly is something about the 2 wheeled steed to bring out that need for speed.

1,060 miles in 17 hours...

so you rode the lt instead of the fz1... why... the lt doesnt have 140 hp at the rear wheel and just pennies to maintain...

Hey, we're on the way, just 20 miles from Spokane. Very Happy Think we'll be home that weekend, also. We are a tight spiral from the Lightning Bar on beautiful Twin lakes. You probably know all the good rides already though.

Duck, glad the Light Truck is running so well. Motorcycles should be exempt from speed limits.

Sounds like a great ride.

That "big pig" is pretty svelte compared to late model LT's, especially with cases off.

That's why I bought my KLT instead of an RLT, etc.

very nice... thanks for sharing... that spiral road is crazy... best ridden uphill 2 up... at the top is a scenic overlook...

a few years ago on our way from lewiston to spokane... we stopped to see the sights... the captain robbie knievel was at that scenic overlook on a tricked out bagger hd smoking a cig and gazing into the valley...
