|
|
I have just taken apart my right mirror housing to replace the internal metal bracket that holds the clips. Intact clips from a used unit were needed to replace a broken one. My question is:
What would be the best glue to put the shell halves back together again?
I am guessing the housing is ABS, but I could be wrong. Would a super glue varient do the trick? Something Else? Anyone done this?
Thanks
Rod

I'd suggest some kind of a 2-part epoxy mix.
Or you might even try some Gorilla glue. _________________ Ride safe.

I've done up mirros with loose housings with two part epoxy. I find that the 5 minute stuff tends to hold up better than the stuff with longer cure times. Or go with marine epoxy. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I use this for a lot of repairs and it holds great. You can find it at home depot or lowes.

I found a two-part 15 minute epoxy for plastics. It seems to have worked just fine.
