I made a purchase from the guy on EBay who's parting out a K at the moment. Since I've had my K the knee pad has been missing 1/2 the hole on the tab that screws down just below the radio, the left hand side. It's not visible but just bugged me whenever I took it apart.
I got one from this guy on EBay for the starting bid, $9.99 + $12. shipping and when it showed up it was in far worse condition than mine. The whole tab was missing and there were two screw holes through the face of it.
I sent him a message telling him of this and within an hour I got a message back saying he was sorry, that his guys must have missed that one and to throw it in the trash. A full refund was on my PayPal account including shipping. Good seller. I thought my cash was gone. Bid with confidence! _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

| Who was it? I've bought a LOT from different Ebay K-bike scrappers, and have had nothing but positive experiences, like yours. |

I think that's the dude that sold me a bad radiator fan - then blamed it on his workers. He was good about hte refund. I think he just sells everything he has and if people complains he gives them a refund. Not a great business model but at least he makes good on the $$$.
I bought a left inner the other day too on eBay. My factory one fits OK but isn't perfect so I got one on eBay to see if it's a better fit. So I may have a spare. Drop me a line around 12/18 if interested. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I got a 3 core radiator from him - it's a little beat. It's slightly racked, the frame is a little bent at the bottom, there's more fin damage than his picture showed - some of it from poor packing. They squeezed it in a too small, too tall box and stuck a couple folded USPS mailers on top.
He's sending another one - told me if I wanted a refund, I'd have to send this one back. If I did that, shipping costs would be more than the value of the radiator. I'll let you know what happens - I'm not sure yet that this guy is a good ebayer. _________________ Jim

Jim, let him know he is responsible for return shipping and see what happens. I guess he has a team of guys tearing K's apart and he doesn't look at the parts, just lists them. Not a good EBayer! Sorry. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Scott - I think I bought from him before you posted - at any rate - I wasn't buying from him based on your recommendation. No problem.
If he can't package the second one better, he'll be paying return shipping on two of them!
I think the radiator I got is probably usable - it just didn't meet my aesthetic standards. It has to be right to go on the K. I'm sure the bike it came from was crashed - I can see the slight circle the fan blade made on the fins. _________________ Jim
