Well I installed the 3-core radiator today and it went pretty well. Besides the PITA of taking off fairing parts it went in with very little modifications. I have been looking at new fans because I read that the fan fits in tight and you would need to cut the air box wihich I did not want to do. It turned out that the fan touches the airbox but really did not need any modification so I put the OEM fan back in. I didn't get a chance to add coolant so that will be tomorrow.

Took the bike out today with the 3-core. It is running 10-15 degrees cooler and when I am at a light and the fan comes on it cools down faster. I will have to evaluate over the long haul and see how it does.

The outside temp yesterday and today was about 85. I've rode in temps from 16F to 120F and have a good feel for what the bike will run at in most temps and I am definitely running cooler. There is more heat coming out but I don't get much of it. After reading all the heat issues when I got the bike I used neoprene sheet insulation that I use at work for insulatilng cold water tanks. I used 1/2" and 3/4" thick pieces and basically sealed up under the tank, behind the knee pads and on top of the radiator so that now when air is pushed through while driving or the fan comes on the air has no place else to go but out the side vents. It works pretty good though I can still feel some of the heat that comes off the head.
