Looks like it's time to go out and git 'er doity again.
I try to be careful not to distrub the protective layer of bug guts and dirt on my bikes. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

WOW - that's a lot of miles - and those cobwebs really help bring the price down! You should be able to get a good deal on it! _________________ Jim

While I'm not privy to the actual final price negotiated in July, I have a pretty good idea what he paid for it.
I have to admit that even at that time I was tempted to buy it myself(before I told him about it) and offer him my red one. But I was just trying not to be underhanded and sneeky.
And after all I am fulfilling my word to take it out and ride it for him while he was out west.

Is 49k considered a lot of miles or was Jim just bullshitting? _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

I think he was just bullshitting.
After all it's still a 12 year old bike.
Mine's a '97 and just at 36500. _________________ Ride safe.

Scott you have a lot of miles on an LT already why not consider an RS?
If I were to buy another motobrick it would be an RS. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

just bs'ing - helping Scott get a good price....
So, Scott - you have a '97 with fewer miles - why do you want a '96 with more miles? Not that either one has enough miles on it to make a difference... _________________ Jim

I personally like the more upright riding position from the LT. Seeing all the other RS's at Hungry Mother's this spring, the LT just looked more comfortable. _________________ Ride safe.

Well Jim, my other half would like to ride. She says that she would be more willing to go on trips with her own set of wheels instead of riding b($%h. So it's something worth considering.
After having riden both, they each have their pro's and con's. Just like a car or a woman. Ain't no two alike. _________________ Ride safe.

Cool! Go for it.
I've never ridden an RS - didn't seem like it would be all that different. I did have a K75RT for a year or so - loved it. The K11LT is sort of like a grown up K75RT. _________________ Jim
