|
|
A couple of weeks ago, I went out to my '93 KLT and noticed the windshield wouldn't adjust. I put a new fuse in and it worked fine. I drove off and the fuse blew again.
I put a 20 amp fuse in. Drove off and it blew again. Last night I put a 10 amp fuse in. I did not start the bike. The windshield worked for the evening. I drove to work today. Shortly after starting the bike and driving the fuse blew again.
So, the fuse only blows when I start the bike. I have a flawed electronic wiring diagram so I do not know what else is on that circuit (the last fuse in the block at the bottom) but everything seems to be working.
I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas or has had this issue.

Check the cig lighter.
They are the same fuse and frequently the cause of windshield woes. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

It's online, and it's in Geman, but it's not that hard to figure out. Hover your mouse over the k1100 and you will get a dropdown list to select from. The bottom one is for heated grips and the next one up is for the windsreen. They are PDF and in color, with some digital pics as well.
