Cor, haven't posted for a year or so....

K1100LT: idle speed seems a bit low at 900rpm - low enough to get the oil light to flicker on really hot days.

How do you adjust it? I peered everywhere for some sort of a standard knob to turn, and couldn't find one. Annoyingly, the owner's handbook doesn't give any clues either.

Bike's coming up for 33k miles now. Still goes like a train, still starts every time, nothing's fallen off or broken... And it's taken me on several trips on the European Continent. Rock on.

---> Synch the throttlebodies first. <----

There is a screw on the idle adjusting valve which is on the bottom of the outside of the relay box which can be accessed from the left. The BMW K1100 manual says this should be adjusting by measuring the CO level in the exhaust. See page 00.26 in the BMW manual.

Definitely synch the throttles first, then you can access the adjuster if neccessary by opening the throttle all the way. Then you will see the adjustment screw near the cable between the #2 and #3 throttle bodies.

Don't mess with the little screws with blue paint on them.

You adjust the idle speed when you synch the throttlebodies.Just turn the
brass screws c.c.w. to increase idle speed.Do not adjust the idle stop.
