At the National Rally in July I didn't use my top case but instead used a Wolfman Beta-Bag, which worked great. Only problem is that I didn't realize the mounting plate for the top case could rattle out of its position and go off into the ether. Needless to say I am in need of another one. If anyone here would like to part with one I would appreciate it.

Hamersley has them for $32.28 and Chicago BMW has them for $26.40.

This is the part number 46-54-2-300-449.

And this is an image of what I want. Item number 2.

Thanks a bunch if anyone can help me out.

I didn't realize this either until Das Boot pointed it out. I guess I had always been lucky. I now remove it with the top case.

Those prices seem reasonable for a BMW part.
