I tried to clean my speedo sensor because I just wanted to. I thought that there might be crud on it and there was. metal shavings and crud.

Becareful taking it out. I learned the hard way mine was really stuck and when it finaly came out only half of it did.
broke very easly above to o-ring, I was able to grab the rest of the sensor
with pliers. I've located a used one and will order it friday. I was not pulling very hard on this, should it have broken so easly??

Endoman,

I've pulled quite a few apart now [ 12 ] - although mostly K100's, I guess the fitting / material is the same. Wink

Having had a similar experience with the connectors to the Fuel Injectors on Guzzi Centauros - I always give these parts a liberal squirt of WD40 the day before removal.

Another nightmare fixing is the top front mudguard. Every one I've stripped has been rusted to the point that the captive nut just goes around like the music! Rolling Eyes

A dab of silicone grease /vaseline [ KY Jelly ] on reassembly will ease any future removal.

TJ

Remove the bolt. Tilt it forward a bit. Slide a small screwdriver in and under behind it. Rock it back. Repeat. I've busted a lot of things on these bikes but never managed to bust a speedo sensor. My hat is off to you. Laughing
