Why do all the gloves I try on seem to be made for piano players and not plumbers?

Not sure, but you may be trying "European fit" gloves. I'm told the Europeans like everything snug-fitting: gloves, jackets, pants, etc. I suspect most Americans (self included) prefer a bit more breathing room.

I've tried a pair of these on and found them to more "American" in their fit:

My XXXL pair of these fit mint but they did need some break in.

Gloves fit OK - not great - fingers are too long... for $21 + shipping - not bad...
