Yes - those are the ones. I forget where I put them on at the back - I'll have to look. I used to put them over the triple clamp and pull the front end of the bike down - I don't like doing that to the suspension - it works much better to tie down at the rear - the suspension there is much beefier. _________________ Jim

When I have had to tie down my bikes, like Jim and others I tie the front forks just above the fender around the shock lower.
At the rear I have just taken the soft ties/straps and wraped around the tire just to keep it from moving side to side.
This way the whole bike can "float" on the suspension as it was designed. _________________ Ride safe.

That's a good system!
But I hope not need to clamp down my KLT much often....
I'll be in Miami next week and I'll look for these soft ties there.
And thanks again for your kindness!

The final price to repair my KLT:
U$2.100,00!!
They will repaint the complete fairing and change the right case.
The town company's insurance said OK.
Maybe in 20 days I'll get my K again.;...

wow! that's 'wow' at the price and 'wow' that you don't have to pay and 'wow' that you have to live without your real bike (as opposed to the Hog!) for so long. Anyway, glad it's organised.

Some updates from Brazil.
I just installed the Remus in my KLT, and the sound is great.
And the Works rear shock is in it's place, too.
But I have a problem when I tryied to mount the progressive front springs.
The progressive spring is 4.72 inches longer then the original ones.
The left one is the original, and the right one is the progressive.
This way, I cant get the damper staff to mount the fork.
I think if I try to mount these springs, the front suspension will be too hard.
By the springs box, the part is right for my bike year.
Anyone knows what's going on?
Thanks in advance.

Call Progressive or double check the part # to their website.
From what I remember Progressive does not make springs for the LT, only White bros and Race Tech does. I had the same problem on mine when I wanted "Progressive" springs.
Sorry mate.
Rest of the stuff looks great though! _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Dave.
These progressive springs was made by Hagon.
Here you can see the fitting chart:
http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/FS_Apps_list.htm
http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/Main.htm
I send an email to motorworks.co.uk asking for some instructions.
I though maybe don't mounting the upper spacer would work.
What do you think?

Naw man you have WAY bigger problems than a spacer.
I made the same mistake. Mine fit a K75c, or something.
I am pretty sure that only White bros and Racetech make aftermarket springs for our LTs.
Let me dig a little bit.
Can you post the actual part #? _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

I'm making a reinforcement in the tour pack holder, aiming reduce the shaking of the structure and give a little more support to Adriana.
The first part. Two lateral steel braces atrtached to the lower tour pack and the rear lateral bag holder.
Later I'll put pics of the final result.

First impressions of the new rear shock and Remus:
1- Rear suspension more planted, with less shaking and a better feeling over the larger bumps. I didn't ride with passenger until now.
2- The Remus sound is terrific in high speed! Getting gas hard over 100mph makes a sound like a Subaru WRX with an Borla exaust! I feel more grunt over 5000rpm, and the bike feels more muscular.
Thanks Dave for the help with these upgrades!

I was very happy sending my pipe to Brasil because I knew how much you would love it and how much you ride.
I really miss the throaty growl of the Remus....it is definitely one of the best "luxury" add-ons you can get. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
