42+ miles per gallon! As you all know, this model is a beautiful example of the “Flying Brick” BMW and is the perfect bike for commuting or long distance touring. It has full luggage, a Corbin seat with driver backrest, AM/FM stereo, power windscreen, ABS, and heated grips (not so important now (in Phoenix), but just wait until those early morning commutes in January). The bike is in great condition and runs excellent. In fact, the only real flaw is that it has a salvage title due to a slide on the right side, which caused some plastic damage (2003). Everything has been repaired and the entire bike was painted with PPG automotive enamel (Metallic red). I have been putting a good deal of miles on it since early 2004 and know that it is a sound, strong running bike.
Speaking of miles, Last I looked the clock was near 60,000 miles. The bike came from Canada originally and the Speedo and ODO are in Kilometers.
Recent maintenance includes: Tires in late 2007, fork seals and bushings in early 2007, and a Paralever oil seal in early 2008. Otherwise this bike has required no more than oil changes and gas.
$3750.00 or will consider trade for BMW R100 or R80 of similar year.
