here you are...
couldnt photog how large this military ship really is... notice that regular size boat on the right... big difference... dont know the name of the river...
this place looks like paradise... house between a fresh water lake and the ocean... a stream running out of the hills to form the fresh water lake... then it trickles out to the ocean... nice...
the bridge over the newport harbor...
looking from the newport bridge to the newport bay...
we saw lotts o fresh catch being unloaded... most eating places looked to touristy... so we kept looking...and we found this place... it was a revolving door... hungry folks in... stuffed folks out...
here you got the chowder... the dungeness crab cakes... the dungeness crab cocktail... the local wild fish n fries...
strawberry hill... the sea critters where laying out on rocks... the scenery was fantastic...
figured it out... why its called strawberry hill...
heceta head... the photog cant give it the respect it deserves...
like most of the coast... there are day use areas everywhere... usually there is a river flowing out of the hills into the ocean with a parking place and a beach or tide pools or both... this is the rover flowing out at heceta head...
too many place to see in 1 day... gonna have to go back...
what a day... it ended up just shy of 400 miles...
there you go...

he was sitting sideways on a bagger in full leathers... dooo ragg... no helmet... smoking a cig... i was gonna go ch1t with the man but he kicked it over and rolled before i was done pizzin on my own tires..
he just jumped a bunch of cars at texas speedway before the indycar race saturday night...

i used to go to allot of these races before i got the brick... now i aints gotts no jack... butts i gotts a russell daylong and a 22 liter and a bunch of ch1t i dont need...

I just saw this place on the Travel Channel last week.

Looks like a place I'd like to take the missus.

Nah, I'm not into that any more. I don't miss any of the near "misses." They're nothing but good campfire stories now. Like the one that started ragging on me like she was my future ex-wife...
I'm happily married these days, thank you. Not sure about the missus, however.
She IS married. Just not sure how happily. Maybe I should ask... _________________ tlp

Beautiful pics on a beautiful day. Be thankful it wasn't raining! Having grown up in this area I know what a rare treat it is to have such nice weather at this time of the year.

Riding along the sea on a twisty road is all I want for a perfect day!
And with a huge amount of sea food will be a complete heaven.
Thanks for the pictures, Ostrch!

Johnny, they say a picture is worth 1000 words. Those are nice. 1000 words wouldn't begin to describe the beauty and grandure of that countryside. Can't wait till I can see it in person, till then I'll just have to live it in your pics. Thanks. _________________ Ride safe.
