89 2 valve K100RS. ABS, 53k. Owner had a flat riding two up at 70 on the freeway. Bike went down on the left, slid a ways then managed to find a way to slide on the other side for a ways. Rolling Eyes Salvage title and messed up rear wheel along with some other damage and the fairing is creamed.

Anybody know if that's a stock SE paint job or a repaint?

Not more than a grand.

Stock paint.

I almost bought that bike before I found my K11.

Thank god it had a slipping clutch or I would have bought it.

That's what I thought, thanks.

Too bad you didn't buy the K100. Then we wouldn't have to put up with you here. You could be over at kbmw bugging Curry et al. Razz Razz Razz

The fairings not too bad. My shop in town fixed mine in worse shape for $800. So maybe $2000 altogether gets a nice looking bike. That said the $1000 sounds right.

Looks like original paint to me too except the wheels should have matching blue pin stripes too. That's the original ABS bike too isn't it?

Kinda makes you look more closely at the condition of your tires, huh?

OUCH

Can't imagine being responsible for going down at highway speeds with Cathy on board.

It's now mine Very Happy and sitting on a trailer in front of my house.

Yep, I believe that's the first bike with ABS.

No pinstripes on the wheels but it looks like factory paint.

The bike is in better condtion than I imagined. Somehow, though crashed on both sides from it's accident, the final drive and exhaust are in pretty good shape.

I'm going to work on getting it running and throw a spare 3-spoke on the back of it. If all is working and the ABS still works, I'm giving serious consideration to making it into a streetfighter, having it inspected and getting the title rebranded from salvage to rebuilt.

Not that important. But I feel somewhat certain you didn't overpay!

I paid less the a grand by a good amount. He also threw in a silver rear wheel he got off of ebay and a frontt master cylinder.

It's still got the tool kit and owner's manual as well. Very Happy
