1. I need a good set of raingear. Bright yellow will do.
2. The +3" Cee Bailey windshield was absolutely invaluable and was a huge upgrade over stock. The only thing missing was a windshield wiper because it's like riding behind a clear barn door with it at the up most position.
If I had a set of raingear on the rain will only be dangerous and not super-uncomfortable.
And it was raining hard. some 3-4" puddles in spots. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Going faster gets rid of the rain off the screen Harder it rains - faster you go..
'hard'?? Sounds like a normal summer's day in the UK. 'Hard' is when you can't see your ankles.. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Agree with you there hirschhs, some of our raindrops are 3-4". A decent puddle is when your exhaust disappears and you have to rev like stit to try and keep it clear!! _________________ '95 K1100lt

I second Jim. I have a nice bright set of yellow Frogg Toggs I got off ebay and they worked great driving back from Pittsburgh in the pouring rain. _________________ Rich

I agree on the Frogg Toggs rain gear working well.
I like the small size you can wad them into for packing. _________________ Dave Norris KOG 248

Have full rain suit from Difi, don't know if you have that there in the U.S. folds up into a small bag en belt system, works really good, it's even slightly insulated. Recommend you go and try the gear on with what you normally wear to ride and not pick something off the rack you think will fit.
Also very important, check if it has some sort of anti slip strips at leg butt area. This will save you some terrifying moments.
Good rain gear is worth it's weigh in gold! _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Christ, you're on an LT.. Just keep going mate, don't stop!
I second the comment about British rain, I'm pleasantly surprised by the protection my RS affords, but on the worst days I still hanker after my K100RT.. _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |

I'm on a budget and not into fashion: I got a nice top and bottom yellow rain suit on SALE from Bass Pro for $7.50. I tried it out - works fine. Note that I ride a 94 K1000LT so wind is not a problem. _________________ Rode across Europe in early 70's on an R-50 used Polizei bike. |
