O.K. you gurus, what's the longest wearing rear tire for my K11LT?

I'm not worrying about performance. Too friggin old..............

Longest I have even heard of is Mich Lasertecs.

I once got 14k out of a set, and they hook up just fine for my riding.

Sure I'm not scraping pegs, but they are plenty sticky.

They tend to "fall into" turns a bit quick though, not sure if that's a bike trait or a tire trait as I never ran anything but Lasertecs.

I didn't have good luck with the Lasertecs - OK, but not outstanding. The Macadam 50's have done better for me. The Pilot Activ did really well, but apparently is no longer available.

Why don't you try the Dunlop radials? I think Drake is running them.

Another vote for the BT020's.. Best riding (non sporting) tyre I've tried, and 10k is possible.

they dont make the BT20's for the LT, just the BT45's......i get about 6k on a set but IM running 32/36 f&r, and push'em hard....great traction....

I think I'll try the Dunlop K491. Me88 & ME880 is second choice when looking at cost only.

The only size available for my K11LT rear is size MT/90 wihich translates to 130/90
The bike specs say 130. I don't think that will matter.

Being a cheap skate ($78.95 delivered). Mileage is my main concern.

What say you guys?

I out a Dunlop 491 on my K75RT once. Tread was messed up in 1,000 miles and caused wobbling at 30-40mph. Hence, I'm not a fan.

well i just had a 1st on a bike . i picked up a nail and hence have a flat ON THE REAR.
i want to point out these bikes are designed to run radials and after the flat i know why. if the tire discenagrates your are dead in the water if you get a slow leak the stiff sidewalls of the radials will withstand running flat for a short distance.

my front tire was a MIch road pilot and i got about 12k a co worker ran his till he saw steel in the rubber and that was 13,5k ( due to high crown roads in VA . the left side went but if they were concrete we think 15k would have been possible.)

i would go with the road pilot or the pilot II .
