Bought a timing light to check my K1100RS-SE 1996. Where are the timing marks? _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

I haven't done one for a while so don't remember the details but it's pretty obvious when you get in there. The hard part is getting your head at the proepr angle with the front wheel in the way - a mirror is helpful. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Is behind that plug in the timing chain cover in the center? _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

No,that is for locking the chain tensioner.
You must remove the little cover on the right front side. In there you can see the zero mark,so you need a lamp with adjustment to get it right.
But the right way to adjust timing,is with a micro meter in the spark plug hole cyl 1, and with a special tool conected to the hall sencor. _________________ 93 K1100RS TIC-8PSI hlins rear,WP springs front, 2,62 final drive, K12RS 5" rear wheel
