I broke my left mirror and I'm sure I can replace just the glass on my LT. Anyone? _________________ Current Bikes

You got a local glass shop? They ought to be able to cut a piece of mirror to fit it.
Ride safe

Easy
The OEM mirror glass are pricey, even on eBay. On the LT (and K100 RT) they are interchangeable left-right.
Remove the mirror from the bike with a swift palm blow to the outer edge, toward the front of the bike.
Fold a hand towel in half, and lay on a solid, flat surface with a sheet of newspaper on top to catch any glass shards.
Hold the mirror pod firmly, and whack it down onto the pad. The glass carrier will spring free from the body.
Find a local mirror store in yellow pages, and ask for 3mm outdoor grade acrylic mirror.
This is easily cut with a fine toothed coping saw, and the edges can be dressed by a hone DIYer.
Working with glass is hazardous, and likely to give poor results for the amateur.
The acrylic route will save you $, and can be applied to any bike/car. _________________ C1 200 (2001)

Fixed.
It's only a $25-30 part. Personally I'd just buy a new one from BMW. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks Chopper. I wondered how it came apart. New one ordered from BMW ($30). _________________ Current Bikes
