Hello Everyone, Just tried to replace a fork seal myself, didn't work. I need a complete right fork for a 1995 k1100lt. Please let me know where I can get a good used one. Thanks to all of YOU for your help. James Sad

Why - have you just given up, or have you totally screwed the mating surfaces on the stanchion Embarassed

If the former, then don't despair, we can help.
If the latter, then where in the world are you, someone will help !

Agreed, unless you really did something awful (like run over it with a steam roller) it's probably fixable.

Please update your profile with your location. (That way we can ignore you if you're a Brit. </joking>)

It also helps if you put the year and model of your bike in your signature.

Give us a little more detail about what you think you did, please. Did you successfully replace the seal and it's still leaking? Check for pitting/scratches on the upper fork tube. Check it with your fingernail for scratches.

Well what I did was ass it up real good. The bike is a 1995 K1100LT, Ive' got the fork tube stuck in the the bottom piece, because the bushing on the tube is sticking out and will not let the tube be pulled free. I am in central Ky. My steam roller is in the shop, or this thing would look like a smashed can. Again I THANK YOU ALL for your help. Embarassed

Can't you just remove the retaining clip and use the bushing to drive the seal out? Sort of like a slide hammer?
