hi there,

i have some very anoying vibrations in my bike... they are so bad at 5000rm (high wayspeeds) that my left hand get white finger syndrome ( the blood goes away in the fingertips).

i swapped throttlebodies, no result.
i experimented with reving, and clutching... the vibration goes when the engine is disconnected from the gearbox, (clutch lever retracted), and the revs drop.
I think it is save to say that the problem sits between engine and gearbox. BUT now the 1.000.000 USD question... i tried real hard to reasemble the clutch the way it came out. BUT i fear i might have done it wrong....
can anyone tell me how the BMW made marks look like? So i might be able to piece it back together the right way.
any help is more than welcome... i do not mind taking it appart 1 more time... but that has to be it!

thanks!

There's supposedly markings but I've never figured it out. (I always mark the pieces with a silver Sharpie as I pull them off.)

It's my understanding that the clutch bousing (big silver bucket at the front) is balanced separately and that the clutch pressue plates are balanced as a pair. It sounds as htough that's where your problem is.

You know which way is wrong (the way you have it now) - there are only two other possiblities.

Big help, huh?

well in the clutch you have...
back plate ( the light gray metal item looking like a ufo)....
than a metal ring,
than a spring
than a plate pressing on the plate
than a plate
than a plate pressing on the plate

both plates pressing on the plate are at stake here?
or are they all combined to take in to consideration?

i will get them out, get them all (3 of them (silver item included)) balanced....see how that goes...
