Today I went out for about 40 minutes to run some errands. We're talking maybe 25 minutes on the road.
I was driving a MINIVAN and I had seven, count 'em, SEVEN people try to take me out. Two were cell-phone yacking women and the other five were people who apparently don't think it's important to look when pulling out onto major thoroughfares. And I wasn't speeding either, the streets were slick so I was taking it easy.
Maybe they knew I was a rider somehow and were just practicing?

im towing the rig doing 60 in the right lane on the 99 north of modesto...
im veering right onto the 120 west ramp when a black blazer flys around me on the berm and then slows down to 30mph... this is a 50mph ramp...
i get to where i can merge... this is a right merge... i pull into the right lane and eyeball the little beech as she becomes a distant black blob in my mirror... the little beech was holding cell phone with right hand to the left ear and was completely unaware of w t f was happening...
there you go...

OUCH. Kick a guy when he is already down.............
I have roadraced for two seasons, I own a diesel pickup and I have owned a minivan That didn't hurt TOO much
FD, we gotta keep alert for any 4 wheelers trying to take us out- remember, it's not the tiger in the tank but it's the jackass behind the wheel. _________________ John & Cathy

Oh, it's not just a minivan - it has vanity plates. I'll post a pic tomorrow. You're gonna love this. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hey FD,
Promises, promises. Thought you were going to post some truly embarassing images of you driving a soccer mom minivan w/ vanity plates.
Maybe the pictures were destroyed to protect the innocent? ..or you? _________________ John & Cathy

OK, here ya go. Have fun at my expense.
It's a 94 burgundy Mercury Villager.
Here are the plates:
What makes it even worse is that with that color and those plates, I'm occasionally mistaken for a WSU Cougar fan - cross-state rivals of my undergrad alma mater, the University of Washington.
I'm not a big fan of stickers on any vehcile, but I've got one on the back of the minivan for anybody who believes that pack of lies that Al Gore is spreading:
It's great when my buddy and I go duck hunting, we hop out of the Meowmobile wearing camo and toting 12 gauge shotguns.
My wicked step-mother was a big cat fan. Her kids got her MEOW plates many moons ago. So when my dad bought this, he got MEOW2. My dad still has MEOW on his Lincoln Town Car. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Burgundy? What's that? Apart from quite nice red wine..
Where I come from men only know 5 colours: blue, green, brown, yellow and red. At a push, we can say browny-red.. You guys are obviously much more sophisticated than us _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

I looked up the paint code - Ford calls it Electric Current Red. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

That's better.. anything with 'electric' in its title must be ok.
Our Mitsubishi L400 is BLUE.
My wife's bike is RED.
My bike is reddy BROWN.
That's a world I understand _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________
